This map demonstrates the percent of Hispanic or Latino (of any race) in the United States. The bigger percentage of Hispanic and Latino people in the U.S. are in the South and West.
Reasons for this could be that these areas are closer to Mexico, so it is nearby where the Hispanic and Latino people might have moved from. Also, these places might have similar climate to where Hispanic and Latino people are from. Landforms might also be similar.
Differences in these places as a result of having a greater percentage of Mexican and Latino people could be things like more Mexican food, or more religions that are found in Mexico. People might have traditions common among Hispanic and Latino people. These people could provide a greater work force, or there could be less jobs available when Hispanic and Latino people move to the U.S.
